Ingredients

Chana and mung dahl, garlic, cumin seed, ground spices, fresh coriander, tomato puree, sunflower oil and salt.

Cooking Instructions

Heat the dahl in a saucepan on a medium heat for about 5 mins with the lid on (until piping hot), stirring regularly to avoid burning and sticking to the bottom of the pot.  For electric cookers make sure the hob is only on medium heat as the dahl will burn if the hob is too hot. Enjoy!

Serving Suggestions

Dahl with rice or bread makes a good healthy meal as lentils are high in protein. A light meal in itself but is lovely with our selection of Indian style dishes such as the Tandoori Chickpea or our Pea & Potato curry. Each of our Indian dishes would traditionally be served with rice and/or chapatti but can also be enjoyed on their own with or without yoghurt, chilli pickle and mango chutney.
